Online education courses are a wonderful way to increase your knowledge of teaching and learning. Many teacher education programs now offer some classes online, while others actually offer entire online programs as well. Make sure when you are you are researching the best program for you, you are also checking for accreditation and for your state to recognize the program. These are typically cheaper than Master's degree courses, though some will contract with a college and also be able to offer you these online courses with graduate credits for completion (after paying the going tuition rate).

Either way, most public schools do count graduate credits beyond bachelor's degrees into the pay scale. Continuing education is so important in teacher education. After finishing your program (or semester), make sure to get transcripts to verify your successful completion and follow the criteria for submitting to your district. It pays to learn new and exciting skills!
